Goodbye, Farewell and Amen

Today we said good-bye to my car. It has served us well, making it long past the mechanics expectations and died not from the diagnosed transmission issues, but from something else. The radiator blew.

It wasn’t named or anything, I rarely name my cars. The kid’s called it “Momma’s Car”. I called it mine. We built family memories in that car.

I became “proficient” in parallel parking in that car (Mad Dog would say otherwise). Loki came home from the hospital in that car. It took our family to Maine and back again.  It was our first Subaru and won’t be our last.

Good-bye Red.
